I've been a Lacuna Coil ever since I was in the 6th grade, so for about five years now. That's a pretty long time if I say so myself. It's not like I've been a huge, huge fan of them for all those five years there were months I would go without listening to them but I always did listen whenever they released something new. On April 20th they are coming out with a new album 'Shallow Life'. I've heard the new single 'Spellbound' it's okay, I honestly hated it when I first heard it, but now I'm obsessed with it and I really just think it's because it's a new Lacuna Coil song not because I actually like it. I just got done listening to little clip things of their new song off the new album and gah! It really kinda of sucks. I mean that in the nicest way possible. I mean 'Karmacode' (their last album) really wasn't that great but it still had some good songs on it. This album however sounds like Stone Sour or like Korn but with a girl singer. It in a way hurts when you realize bands that have been around for 10 years all they want is to be famous and mainstream they don't care about their die hard fans. Oh tear.
So I just want to know 'Where have all the good bands gone?" Bands that used to be good suck now, they've gone mainstream, and it's not like I don't like mainstream some of my favorite bands happen to be, but come on when and underground metal band completly change their sound it hurts.
